Office Hours with Professor Kim
Because everyone deserves somebody in their corner!
Some of life's most important moments don't come with instructions. Your first real job offer. Your choice between two great schools. Feeling insecure, or like a fraud, at school or at work. The feeling of being stuck in a career that no longer fits.
I've been here for thousands of people in exactly these moments. Let's figure it out together.

I'm Professor Kim
I'm Dr. Kim Miller - college professor, academic leader, mom of young adults, and career coach with over 25 years of experience helping students, families, and professionals find their footing at every stage of the education-to-career journey. I've sat across from thousands of people in my actual office hours... students figuring out their next step, colleagues navigating difficult decisions, alumni who circled back years later because they needed someone they trusted.
NOW I AM OPENING THOSE OFFICE HOURS UP TO YOU.
Who this is for:
-
The college junior who has no idea what she wants to do after graduation.
-
The parent who wants to help their high schooler make an informed decision about college.
-
The senior who just got a job offer and does not know how to evaluate if it is a good one, and does not know what questions to ask.
-
The parent who wants to support their kid but doesn't know how to start the conversation.
-
The recent (or not recent!) grad who feels stuck, confused, undervalued, or just plain lost.
-
Anyone facing a big decision and needing a clear, outside perspective.
What we can work on together
Finding direction
Not sure what comes after graduation? We'll cut through the overwhelm and get clear on what actually matters to YOU - your values, your strengths, and your next realistic step forward. No generic advice. No pressure. Just a real conversation that moves you from confusion to clarity.
Family strategy sessions
Sometimes the most important conversations are the ones families aren't having. Whether you're weighing college choices, a gap year, a major change, or a job offer, I help parents and students get on the same page, and make decisions that everyone can feel good about.
Navigating college
Are you making the most of your college years? I help incoming and current students figure out how to build relationships with faculty, take advantage of campus resources, develop their professional presence, and set themselves up for success, before they're staring down a graduation deadline.
Clarity sessions - for when you're stuck
This one is for anyone facing a decision they can't think their way through alone. I've developed a proven framework for moving from stuck to clear, without overthinking, spiraling, or second-guessing yourself into paralysis. We'll get to the heart of what you actually want, what's holding you back, and what your next step looks like. One conversation can change everything.
Not sure if this is for you? Here are just some of the things we can work on together:

How this works:
Office Hours sessions are one-on-one, conducted via Zoom, and designed to be immediately useful. You will leave with a clear action plan, concrete language you can use, and the confidence to take your next step.
Sessions are available as a single meeting or as a package of three for those who want ongoing support and accountability.

A note to parents
I know what it feels like to watch your child struggle and not know how to help. I am also a parent to two young adults. And I also know - from my experience working with young people for over 25 years - that the students who thrive are rarely the ones with the best grades or the most prestigious offers. They're the ones who leaned how to advocate for themselves, ask for help, and stay true to what matters to them. That's exactly what we will work on together.
Giving your kiddo an Office Hours session - or scheduling one for yourself - might be the most practical, powerful gift you can offer right now. Think of it as the conversation they didn't know they needed. Think of it as the conversation YOU didn't know you needed - with someone who has had this conversation thousands of times before.
