College-to- Career Consulting

1

College Readiness Consulting
I help students and families prepare for college

I offer specialized educational consulting services for students and families who would benefit from additional support and advocacy, and who seek a calmer, less stressful college search process.

As a college professor and academic leader with over 20 years of experience in higher education, I provide comprehensive College-to-Career services to support students and families in the college journey. I am also the parent of two college-aged young adults, so I understand first hand the emotional, practical, and financial struggles that families face as they begin to think about the college search process.

Let me help you!

At the heart of my practice is relationship-building and meaningful conversation.

I help families navigate generational differences and learn to communicate openly about their hopes, concerns, and values. Through thoughtful dialogue and practical tools, I create safe spaces where families can discuss anything - from academic pressures to identity questions to career aspirations. My professional passion has always been fostering connections and helping people have the conversations that deepen understanding between parents/guardians and youth during this uncertain and transformative time.

I have expertise working with neurodiverse, first generation, LGBTQ+, and international students, as well as student athletes at the D1 and D3 levels -  populations I have supported extensively throughout my career in higher education.

I also bring unique strengths in resilience training and growth mindset coaching, helping my clients develop the psychological tools and strategies needed to thrive in educational environments while honoring their authentic identities and experiences.

What Sets Être Apart from the Others?

What distinguishes my practice is the seamless continuity of support through the entire educational and professional journey. Rather than focus on just one phase - college admissions OR career placement OR mid-career salary negotiations - I walk alongside you from college preparation through successful career launch and onward. This comprehensive approach is grounded in over 20 years of academic expertise, career advising, and a deep understanding of how educational systems and institutional dynamics actually work. My practical experience leading complex organizational environments on the one hand - and meeting one-on-one with students and early career professionals on the other hand - means I know not just the theory of educational & career success, but I know how to help you navigate real-world challenges and opportunities. Most importantly, I recognize that personal, academic, and professional development are all intricately interconnected. A young person's identity, family dynamics, and life circumstances all influence the educational-career path, and my holistic perspective ensures we address the whole person, not just academic performance or career goals.

I want to work with you to help you reach a fulfilling future!
